I just purchased a rebuilt starter on the internet and I have already screwed up! It is a mini starter, not the oem style starter. I failed to realize that it is probably a nippendenso, therefore most likely has metric threads. I used a standard nut on the small stud( next to the larger "battery power" stud) and ended up stripping the threads. My question is? Can a starter/alternator rebuilder replace just the affected stud, by soldering in a new one?
thanks
