Hi Guys.
I'm still in the process of restoring my 1970 dodge challenger deputy, and I've arrived at the detailing part of the car.
When looking through some old pics, I noticed a sticker that was on the passenger side inner fender. Unfortunately i don't have clear pics of the decal, because There weren't any digital camera's when I was disassembling my ride.
I do however copied the text on the sticker before I had everything blasted. It says the following:
Tune-up instructions
This engine is equipped with a "kar-kit" emission control system
the distributor vacuum spark advance mechanisme must remain De-activated
according to special instructions in owners manual. engine timing and
carburator adjustment must be set according to the following "kar-kit"
specifications see manual in glove compartment for detailed procedures
1966-1970 vehicles
timing MFG. specs kar kit specs
1' BTC or more retarded - same as MFG. specs
more than 7 1/2' BTC - set at 1/2 of MFG. spec
All other settings - set at 1' BTC
carburator adjust idle speed and mixture to MFG-spec. If idle mixture is not specified
adjust to lean best idle
1955-1965 vehicles
timing Set timing according to manufacturer's specifications
carurator Adjust idle speed to 600 RPM in drive for automatic transmissions
and 700 rpm in neutral for manual transmissions
Adjust idle mixture to 1,5% co- or 14:1 AFR. if not possible
adjust to lean best idle
Check cooling system for leaks. Defective cap and plugging every 120000 miles
