NOS part numbers
« on: July 25, 2011 - 09:49:23 PM »
Hello,

I have opened boxes of '71 Cuda tail lite lens.  The part numbers on the boxes are correct but the numbers on the lens' are completely different.  I looked those numbers up an found nothing.  Any input? :1zhelp:

HERS: 1980 Toyota Starlet, 1995 SAAB 9-5 and then '01 SAAB 9-3 and currently '08 Saab 9-3 convertible!
NEXT IS MINE: purple 2010 Dodge Challenger!!!

The box part number is not the same as the lens because it was considered a kit that also included the gasket.

casting numbers on most items never match the service part numbers, even with todays parts that i see everyday here at the dealer, only numbers that usually are good are electrical items,  trim have cavity numbers that are partials for reference to servicing numbers.

as JS mentioned of the kit or service part number will be different.
