whaddaya think?
« on: July 29, 2011 - 12:38:52 PM »
74 cuda with 383, 727 trans, flamed front fenders/hood, good condition for around 15 grand.
How do I get a real idea of the condition without flying from Dayton to Wisconsin?
Price range reasonable?
Thanks, greg

Post a pic here
Get him to send you pics of fendertag, Vin, underneath, the interior, the engine and all exterior angles. I am sure a member here lives close by and may go have a look for you.

That car has been bouncing around on the upper MI and WI Craigslist for quite a while.  If I recall correctly, he was asking quite a bit more than the current 13,500.  Unfortunately it is over 4 hours from my place or I would have checked it out by now.  The green engine compartment with the purple exterior featuring hockey stripes AND flames is probably not helping with the sale.  I would definitely have him send close up photos of key rust prone areas as well as the trim and vin tag.

Yep that one has been for sale for a few months. I'm sure he would drop the price. The trunk is most likely green as well  :poopoke: at least the interior wasn't touched.

The Craig's list post is the right one. Nice guy in Elcho, Wisconsin (waaay out back!)  Weather there isn't easy on sheetmetal.  Would need bodywork per owner.

Dayton Ohio? I got one brother in Centerville and one in Kettering.

I have a couple of choices now-  The one in wisconsin (multi-color) would need doorskins and some other quarter work and DEFINATELY a new color! ha-ha
How big a fortune am I looking at?

Found another 73 down south-  new yellow paint, roller, needs windows/ interior installed. Waiting for price reply.  What's reasonable? Thanks, greg

The Wisconsin one will cost you another $10-$15K+ for paint/body.  With that plus the purchase price you'll be beyond what it's worth.  I'd definitely want to see it in person, too, because the underside could be junk and pictures might not show it.

I dunno about you guys, but I'm kinda diggin' the flames.  ;D  Maybe too much with the billboards, would look better without.  :dunno:

???   Neither cudas worked out.    Wisconsin won't budge beyond 12k.    Dallas wants 18,500 and still needs put back together.

I'll keep looking. Thanks for everyones help.
