Will an I-pod, mini amp, 6x9 speaker setup work?
« on: June 19, 2011 - 12:23:57 PM »
I was wondering if this kind of setup will work I am just looking for an inexpensive way to listen to some tunes without changing the stock appearance to my car.I found this amp on E-bay http://shop.ebay.com/mlgb5678/m.html?_trksid=p4340.l2562 If I connect my I-pod to this and just a pair of 6x9 speakers in the rear shelf will it work? I will leave the AM radio hooked up to the front speaker. I`m no expert on stereo electronics but it seems to me this will work so if any one has some opinions on this I would like to hear them. Thanks!

Going with this.

Stock radio stays in dash, but not connected.

Rear shelf speakers - DLS Reference R1073 7x10 3-way, fits 6x9 opening
Center front - Kicker KS4100 4x10
Subwoofer - Fosgate dual 12" Punch in the trunk, so big and wide that it will hide the temporary, ugly "restoration" job done on the wheel housings...
Amp - Rockford Fosgate Prime R300-4
Player - 7.0" GPS Navigation Touchscreen + 8GB micro SD TF+MP4 + FM +Bluetooth+AVIN+ photo + ebook reader + Win CE 5.0
Has arm-mount that swings 180 degrees and is easily hidden underneath dash. Very cheap from China. Connects to Amp with headphone outlet.
