Use tool ^%#$^*%(&^ there is a spring under the steel cup , I have fought with these for hours trying to seperate them even with the tool , you need something that slides over the line & under the cup to lift the spring all the way around so thelip on th eline will slide through the spring , most parts stores have cheap plasctic tools for this .
