    Little tweaking and a nut for a spacer and it was no problem. This picture makes it look further than it really is.

    I got at least an extra 1/2" just using a longer bolt & a stack of washers, also jacked on the pedal a bit that may have got another 1/4"

    Well, got in there and started looking around and lo and behold there's only 1.5" depth to work with there!  Add to that the door hinge bracket and the electrical disconnects and I'm going back to my door speaker install plan.
