    Will a 285/40/17 tire fit a Challenger

    I've got a local tire store that is wanting to make me a killer deal on some Nitto NT555 in 285/40/17.  Is anyone running this size tire on the back of there Challenger.  I have not taken the time to measure my car yet.

    I believe you will need to move the leafs in a bit for 285's to fit.

    I'm running a 275/40R18 with the Mopar offset shackles. You could probably run less backspacing (I'm 5.9") and do it without offsetting

    I'm running a 275/40/17 now and my wheels are straight up 5.00 on the backspacing.  I think they may just fit.

    I have 295/45/18s on a 18x9 with factory rear suspension/well location Barracuda. Little narrower and shorter, I'd imagine you could get them in a Challenger too?
