Pickup coil and reluctor parts/Misfiring problems
« on: August 17, 2011 - 11:22:37 PM »
I am currently having problems with my car misfiring and realized I have a piece missing off the pickup coil and reluctor, My main question is where exaclty does this piece go and would this affect the car, causing it to misfire. Thanks

no clue why that is in the picture , if the pick up has a yellow wire instead of orange the pick up may be bad , there are aftermarket ones with yellow wire that have caused me problems for a long time , second the gap between the 2 has to be .008 , too wide & it will misfire , three the reluctor has 2 key ways one for clockwise & one for Counter clockwise there is an arrow by one keyway , if it is not right you will have problems . Next check the ground for the ECU , it has to be clean  tight , could also be a bad ECU
