cheated and bought a beautiful shell
« on: August 22, 2011 - 10:53:11 PM »
gave up on the rusty cudas and drove 15 hours to illinois to buy a pretty 70 barracuda. just a shell with  gorgeous paint rottisserie style. Floors underside are purple bedliner spray. started as a plain 6 cylinder with mild rust. building the 360 now. buying parts weekly and the boxes are stacking up! met a cool mopar nut that goes by tucker. even took the cuda on a boat ride into kentuckyon the ride home

Very beautiful!  Now you'll have to change that 440 hockey stripe into a 360

So what kind of parts did it come with?  Did you get an interior, grill or anything?    :clueless:  The shell looks pretty good.

Looks nice, but wonder why the hood hinges and battery tray weren't painted? :dunno:

Why a 360?  Put a big-block in that sucker! :stirpot:

I guess the hinges and tray were bought after the fact. it goes this weekend to get that stuff squirted. it came with unpainted dual mirrors new also.and the taillight trim is not the black like tailpanel. all will get a coat of paint.
Car came with weatherstrip kit, year one bumpers, stainless fuel ,brake, and e-cables.new tail lenses and chrome inserts.new antenna kit,new hood hinge kit.new door handles.and a couple boxes of little stuff. All old things came and once done I will have a ton of old parts for sale
As for big block, always had the small blocks plus I already had my new 360 and new eddy aluminum heads sitting there. So I got 340 hood emblems and thinking of just switching the 4 to a 3 on quarter.if I can apply it straight!
