1970 Chrysler 20' Cuddy Cabin boat with all original 340
« on: September 16, 2012 - 11:57:59 PM »
Talking with a good friend of mine recently about a boat he acquired when a mutual friend passed last year. All he could tell me so far was it is a 1970, has a cuddy cabin, in/outboard, 340 chrysler, everything is there including fish/range finder . compass, depth radar and ship to shore 2 way -- needs interior finished and cleaned up . trailer is dual 3500 pound axles , bearing buddies , and HYDRAULIC braking system ---- every component is all original. Was registered and on the water as recent as 9/10. Was running last year. He has had it sitting at his house for almost a year now. I was looking into its value for him but am not finding much info yet. Wondering if anybody here had any knowledge they could share. Attached pic is one I found online and he says it is the same. Any idea of the value? I am starting to consider it myself, paint it plum crazy to match the cuda, then the Cuda wouldn't be the worst gas hog in my stable.

Now that would be cool to have a matching boat!

I could imagine it Plum Crazy with like a Cuda caricature on the side with big teeth!  :grinyes:  Or like the Flying Tiger teeth on the old warplanes...

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

That would be very cool to have!   Not sure I would paint it in-violet though . . . . As for value ....  ??   :dunno:  I can't imagine it being worth more than 5 or 6 thousand?

I had the same thought about the teeth.

Thats what I am finding too, which is why I started considering it for myself.
