New Holley 6 pack - powervalve

Quick question.
I have read that any Holley carb post 1992 will have an upgraded power valve that will not go bad (like after a backfire). Should I assume that a new three-carb set up from Holley will not need power valve attention?
I recently had a backfire and my car is running really rich, fouling the plugs. It could also be that the choke is not turning off.
Thanks

they have a backfire eliminator in newer Avenger & HP carbs , I am not aware of them adding this to the 6 pack but they may have .
You need to get the choke open , power valve could still be a problem but I have rarely seen one fail
