Help w/installing trunk rod
« on: September 23, 2011 - 10:15:53 PM »
I have a '72 Barracuda with a single trunk rod. Does anybody have any tips for installing this or do you pretty much have to manhandle it? I initially started on the driver's side and holy cow..this is gonna take some leverage. Any tips would be appreciated. Also, which notch do you guys have yours on? I have a Go Wing on the trunk. I am trying to get it in with it closest to the trunk opening. Is that overkill? Just curious I would hate to have to do this twice....

You need a large screw drive helps a lot.  Put in one side and then pry the othe side into place.  as for the Go Wing, I have never had one so I don't know what slot works best.
