Greetings from Indiana (south of Terre Haute about 45 minutes). I have a '71 Challenger. I have 2 broadcast sheets (which I found during breakdown) and a fender tag! It was no doubt a project car, but didn't have to be. It ran / drove fine (318, 904 slap, 2:76... originally a F3 Metallic Green). However, given that the car wasn't a rare nor "sought-after" model, I have decided to make it "mine". I pulled the drivetrain, interior, etc... sandblasted the undercarriage... cut out a floor pan and a 8 in. section of frame, fabbed new metal and welded back in.
Needless to say most of the work was done a few years ago... I have since married, had a child and just built a house. Fingers crossed that the project begins again this fall/winter (somewhere in between work, family and coaching basketball... like I said, Indiana:)
Anyway here are a few pics of the Challenger... "1972 440 (60 over) and 727 (built), 915 heads, fuel system, new front brakes (disc) and 3:91 sure-grip are ready to go (axles shortened to accomodate sure-grip)". Other parts (MSD, Hooker Super Comp, etc) are sitting ready to go as well
Here are some pics; enjoy!
