I met a friend of Gurney's at the Coronado Speed Festival last weekend. I think I might try to somehow meet the man, the myth, the legend. LOL

The last time I went to the Coronado Festival of Speed I actually got to sit in the 77 Challenger and when I was 15 I got to sit in the #48 Cuda at Carlisle. That's what started it all for me.

Looks like a salt flat rocket car pretty high tech looking. Is as fast or faster than the current cars.

I thoght it to be a salt flat car when I saw the pics. Then watched the vidio on the car. It's supposed to be at 2012 24HRS of LeMans. It don't look like it turns but I guess it does.

hummmm my first thought was " good luck in the corners, hope they are going to use safer barriers in the corners"
I agree looks more like a salt flat racer. Maybe it's 4 wheel steer? :clueless:

Cannot wait to see it in action! looks like it will deflect better on impacts rather than fly apart in a million pieces like the current ones! The wheels mounted directly in front of the driver must be heavily secured designed not to be thrust into the driver racepit.
