Glad it's just pills so far! Yeah, be thankful it's only pills. Some people need insulin injections 2, sometimes 3 times a day with a sliding scale for additional insulin depending on what their bloods sugar reading is.
Like mentioned before, this might be a little wake up call to change lifestyle and diet. There was a local hobby store around here I used to go to like 1 time a year. All of a sudden it was gone. Later found out from a neighboring business the owner, only like 47 years old, died from diabetes complications. He was a really nice guy.
