Chat Room
« on: January 14, 2005 - 12:50:43 PM »
i installed a chat room integration in the forum here.  were still in the middle of some big changes, so dont get too cozy with the chat just yet, but it is planned to be a final feature of our new forum when it arrives in the next week or two so I encourage everyone to go in and test it out and let me know how it works.  the feature may come and go as i work the backend, but like i said i plan to keep it for good, so dont worry if it disappears for a short while.  but like i said, if you see it up in your toolbar, please check it out and let me know what you think.

I like that you can see if others are already in there.  Cool!

the counter appears to be broken.  just because it says 0 doesnt necessarily mean there arent people in.

counter is not perfect, but its kinda working.  its working as good as Ive seen it on other forums, so its probably as good as its gonna get.  all in all though it looks like a cool mod and the chat is working great.  look forward to talking live with everyone in the near future  :wasted:

Worked fine here, Ross. As well the chat room opened in a new window. Easier for swapping to and fro with the cuda-challenger.com website. Thanks Ross   :driving:  :dogpile:

Ross... seeing as how it's an everywherechat.com room.... set it to connect to #cuda_challenger That's the room I setup on the one that's hosted off my site...this way, which everway people come in, they'll be in the same room!!

after thinking about, i think im gonna stick with the room i created.  ill add in the regular mods and control tier will reflect that of the forum.

Suit yourself.... I just think that it's counter-productive to ask for help and ideas, then when someone gets something working right, you don't even bother to take what they've done.... :dontknow: Just seems like reinventing the wheel to me..............
