Cat pee'd on my booster
« on: October 22, 2011 - 08:39:47 PM »
:eek7: I was moving around some parts in my basement that had already been restored. Key word "Had" When I went to move the box that had my power brake booster in it the smell hit me like a cold slap in the face. One of the cats had p!**ed on the box and judging from the amount that soaked into the paper that the booster was wrapped in I would say they had done this several times and over a long period of time.  I am guessing I will need to send my booster out again to Dewey for a redo. The first time I had him do just paint but what was the original finish on a 70 Challenger R/T Booster with a 383.

Dogs are no better.

Puppy chewed the rubber boot.
Who knows what else he may have done when I'm gone.

Dogs are no better.
I think they are, but we all have our preferences.
Sorry to hear about your booster tropical. Cat pee is a powerful aroma.

In 1970 the master cylinder was installed on the booster along with the linkage on the back side.  The entire assembly was then sprayed gloss black.

I have three cats in the house that have never been outside.  They never pee on anything.  It has to do with the age when they are fixed, and if they are raised inside.  As far as outside, my neighbors cat loves to spray windshields.  It runs down into the cowl and when you turn on the a/c....hold your breath.

Live out in the country here. Cats, Dogs, and an occasional Horse in the yard. Can't have sh*t outside. I painted the roof of "Christine" white and before I could get inside to get my camera to snap a quick pic., I come back outside and right through the middle was cat tracks. Yes, one is dead now, made me so mad.

I cover my cars with tarps. You know the ones you get at Wally world? The Blue ones that last about one season then come into a million pieces?
The cats get run under the cars by the stray dogs. I called the "Dog Warden" and he tells me unless they have tags, he can't really do much. I said BS, but he refused to do anything. The cats I don't mind as they are fairly good at keeping the rodents from eating my interiors. It's when the stray "Hunting" dogs chase 'em is when they get rowdy. Thing is, Animals do not know what property lines are. Therefore, it is up to the owners. one owner told the Dog Warden that that's the reason he moved out in the coutry as he wanted to let his dog run free...Whaddayagonnado?

" they make great outside animals !!"

as well as live-fire exercise targets.

My dad had an 84 Supra when I was a kid. Thing was MINT. Annoyingly cared for. Don't touch it unless you're wearing no-lint, baby soft gloves.

One night, a male cat got into the car through a half open window. Sprayed all over the seats. After a jillion attempts to get rid of the smell he ended up having to buy pretty much a new interior. Grrrrrr
