can anybody tell me the steps in detail on this kind of paint i have sprayed base coat a few times what is the diirence is it just the mid coat i am spraying ppg wa 708s any info whould be great it is going on my cuda!!!!!

I tried it just recently. Was just comparing some different colors. You will
definitely need to practice and compare how many mid coats it takes to
achieve the color that you're looking for. 1 Extra coat and you lose your
desired effect. Also, spray very light coats, otherwise it just seems to melt
into the base color. Good luck, let us know how it went. I sure am interested in the outcome

Results will vary on brand of paint, but always read tech sheet and follow instructions.It's just as simple as regular base/clear system,except a midcoat before clear,Do not spray dry or light if you want it to look right ,not grainy or blotchy.

I tried a normal mid coat with HOK and every time I got past
the second coat the color turned black. Not that I am a pro by all
means. Just sayin what my experience was.

The biggest thing that needs to be done when doing tri coats is making a 'let down panel' that way you know how many coats of what ever your using to achieve the desired look.
