windshield wiper arms
« on: November 02, 2011 - 06:25:57 PM »
Can anyone tell me the stock length? Also, what might interchange? I see a lot of nice sets, new, on ebay for trucks and other vehicles dirt cheap. My car isn't original, so I really don't care about that. As long as they will fit and work. My car came with none, so I have no clue. I wouldn't think there would be to much variance here, except for the length of the arms. Please correct me if I'm wrong! lol. Needs to fit a 72 Challenger. Thanks.

The wiper blades are 16" long. I thought you were asking about the length of the wiper arms.   :dunno:

I was just thinking of the blade length - it never occured to me that the entire arm would be a different length as well. Thanks.

Could somebody measure the arm itself, from the mounting post to the wiper attatchment? There is a new old stock set up for 72 to 79 Dodge pickups on Ebay right now, and the seller says the arm is approx 16" in length. I really would like to get some wiper arms on my Challenger, but don't want to spend a kings ransom for them. Thanks.

Yes, Thanks R/T. It looks like I'm going to have to pony up and buy Challenger-Cuda arms. I was hoping a B body set with concealed arms would work (Charger, Coronet, Satellite, etc) would work since the firewall on an E body is the same, but the B body wiper arms are all totally different. Much cheaper, though! lol. I was hoping Mopar used the same part for many different vehicles, and it isn't the case with the wiper arms. Just because it fits an E body makes it 20% higher priced. lol.
