why I have been missing
« on: November 07, 2011 - 08:58:06 PM »
I live right on the CT.MA.NY. borders and for Halloween this year we had a blast of winter come rolling through. The problem was that a lot of the trees were still full of leaves and a foot of wet snow made for quite an interesting night to say the least.I just got my phone and internet back today,so I apologize to those I was dealing with for the delay.Heres a couple of pics I took on Tuesday Nov.1st and the storm rolled through here on the 29th.

:scared: Looks like you have a little work ahead of you. Did you manage to keep your power on through all that?

Welcome back!

Glad you made it through ok, Doug.  Weird storm, our town didn't have much snow but next town over had like 6-8 inches of the wet stuff and lots of trees went down.  We did have a big brach just barely miss hitting our van, for the second time.  Thank God for the basket ball hoop!  You know what I call this:  Free firewood!!!  :roflsmiley:

Wow not fun!  I was teasing Tom ( 72challorange) that he should pack up the family and come up to my place in Canada ...
( the tropic's! )  till the power came back on.   Even my inlaws in PA said they had 6" of snow!    It was sunny and warm here, t-shirt weather? Had the Challenger out for a rip even.

Geeze, hope Tom is ok!  Hope he has power back.  I think there are still a lot of people in the western part of MA without power.  (I think Tom is in northern MA, yes?)

I consider myself pretty lucky as we got power back in three days(benefit to living on main st.)the houses behind mine just got power back yesterday.Me and a friend went on Tuesday of last week to pick up a 67 dart parts car that was just about an hour away and got detoured all over and it took 3 1/2 hours to get there. We saw places that will be lucky to have power back by the end of the month.
