found my old cuda!
« on: November 06, 2011 - 12:28:38 AM »
About 11-12 years ago I had a 73 cuda. Had a blast with it. One day I pull the eng/trans for rebuild. Some guy shows up,said I'll give you 2000 for the body. I need money so I sold it. :banghead: never to find another. Called up the guy I sold it to a few years after he got it.told him i'd like to buy it back.sorry,I sold two years ago. Fast forword to today. I had herd of a 73 cuda about 60mls from me. I went and looked at it. There I saw a primer gray 73 cuda(mine was black). As I looked at it I saw things that made me think ok my old cuda. Then I saw the custom rally dash that I made. :eek2: it had been sitting for years. Told them its was my old car. Asked to by it,but...."no,I'm gun'a fix it up one day." :swear:

:iagree:   I watched a 73 Challenger sit for almost 20-years in my neighborhood, word was they would not even talk to anyone inquiring. I was told it was on craigslist a couple of weeks ago so I drive by & sure enough it's gone.  Keep up with it, make offers...who knows.

Take some cash by and try to buy it!

That's cool to find your old cuda.

Wow, really cool that you found you're old Cuda but I know it's quite the bummer that it's so close, but yet so far since they won't sell it.

Is it a different owner than the guy you sold it to 11-12 years ago?

All you can do is strike up a relationship with the guy, talk some cars and let him know your intent and make some cash offers.  Leave your number in his glovebox and just have him call you first if he ever decides to sell it.

If he doesn't want to sell it now, all you can do is wait and hope that you're first in line when he does decide to sell it.  :2cents:
