Who sells the most accurate package tray?(The card board part)
« on: October 17, 2011 - 02:33:36 PM »
I need to replace the original package tray as mine is both discolored and has a couple broken slats in the speaker cut outs.

I'm looking for the closest thing to factory that I can get. ECS claims to have the most accurate, but I wanted to get some feedback from you guys...

Looking for black with speaker cutouts... correct texture, etc.

Thanks!

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

I got mine from the Paddock, but they went under.    :sadwavey:

I see Year One has the textured finish package trays. Be aware, they will probably bite you in shipping.

I don't know what car you have, but on their site it's items PDX70BLK  and  PDY70BLK depending on a Cuda or Challenger.

I bought one made by REM.  I tossed the original package tray years ago so I had nothing to compair it to.  I've heard the repros have the wrong speaker cutout configuration and/or the wrong shaped cutouts.  I'd like to see an original one next to a REM and an ECS one.  My replacement tray looks like the ECS ones as far as I can tell.  The REM tray does NOT come with the metal tabs on the bottom though.

ECS doesn't sell anything that is "somewhat correct".  If they sell it, you can be sure it's as correct as it can possibly be.

"I've heard the repros have the wrong speaker cutout configuration and/or the wrong shaped cutouts."

ECS touts the correct hole pattern/configuration. Maybe I'll give them a try.

Mopardave... are you saying you believe REM is also supplying ECS?

I counted the number of cutouts on my replacement and looked at a picture of Dave Walden's 70 Challenger.  The number of cutouts matched the REM part I bought.
