If Barry was still around he would be all over this subject.

Technically, it is illegal to remake any vin plate on any car in the US.

Every state has different regulations for this type of situation.

Mostly, you will have to get a new vin issued by the feds.
You have to prove the car is yours.
Then they will check to see if anything fishy is going on with the vin number.

The new vin they will give you will be a long strip that goes on your door jamb.

Not worth it if the car has no fender tag, build sheet, and numbers.
Not 100% correct,if  it`s true I saw that some states WILL issue an original vin plate for the vehicle. Most states will just issue a sticker or tag for the door jamb and it will be a salvage title with an issued number.

The vin on the title matchs the one on the cowl.

Check with your DMV and find out exactly what you need to get it registered.

In my opinion, that car is a scary car.
No vin always scares me.

You  might be better without this one.

Don't give up.  There's always another around the corner.

Keep saving that mula!!

If you don`t have the cash you can`t expect to buy a car no matter what it is.  :clueless:

Metal Bee, I feel your pain!! I fell in love with the Cuda roughly 30 years ago. I searched and saved until last December I bought one off Ebay. I paid more for a project Cuda then most people pay for a new car. I drove the car 4 times before sending it off to the body shop and if all goes well the body work will be completed next month. Life is funny when you take a step back, if you had 100k you could have a Cuda by the end of the week. You don't have crazy money, so you'll have to wait enough time to find the point that you can find one in your price range. BJ made people think they could get 1 million for a Cuda parts car, but they also made companies like AMD set it up to produce Cuda body parts. I don't post here often and did this time because 30 years of searching will make you crazy, but dreams should never come easy. I'm 46 years old and never sat in any Cuda until last year when I bought mine...I waited until I found "my dream car"!! Don't give up, save and search, best of luck J
