I have purchased three mopars sight-unseen (two on ebay) and have been sorely disappointed each time. You would think I would have learned from the first episode, but NOOOO. Nobody but myself to blame.
I have met some of the most stand-up people I have ever known in this hobby. Likewise, I have met a lot of talkers and people looking for opportunities to foist their junk on you. Just because someone may have a lot of posts to a forum gives them zip credibility in my eyes.
For a weekend and $1500 you can fly round-trip to almost anyplace in North America. Given the tendency of people to overstate their case, so to speak, and the potential for some very expensive and frustrating "misunderstandings", I think it is worth biting the bullet and checking the car out. Guarantee you will be glad you did. You will either confirm the car is worth the $, or will be very glad you didn't go through with the deal.
