new project
« on: November 14, 2011 - 06:07:56 PM »
Bought a pocket bike for 50 dollars basically just to have something to work on and it has turned out to be pretty fun. I completely disassembled it and repainted the frame, and cleaned the engine. Performance upgrades will be coming soon

Those are pretty cool.  Thought about picking one up but:

a) they are really low to the ground and I wanted to ride it on the street, but I don't think they are street legal without the lights.  Biggest reason is that they are really low and cars may not see you.

b) my back probably won't last  riding that thing hunched over.  You're younger, you'll be fine.

I think it would take more then a few. I do remember when I was in collage I took apart my 4 spd in the kitchen of the apartment I was renting. I did it on the floor with a few garbage bage to keep most of the oil off the floor. It stunk the place up for quite a while. I would'nt get by with it today.
