Where there any heat shields used on a 71 383 to protect the valve covers and gaskets from the exhaust manifold heat?
Thanks,Dave

You can buy exhaust manifold gaskets that have an extended metal ridge that protects the valve cover gaskets. They were used on the high performance exhaust manifolds that swept up.
