attaching interior emblems
« on: November 22, 2011 - 09:15:03 PM »
The key lock decal(metal backed) popped off the colomn a long time ago.  The "Challenger" sticker(metal backed) started pealing off years ago as well.  The new key lock decal is just a sticker and doesn't have a metal backing.  I'm not really worried about that one.  The "Challenger" sticker however is metal backed.  Is the adhesive that is already on the replacement good enough or should I add some extra adhesive before applying it to the plastic housing?  If you recomend extra adhesive, what should I use?

For those who have a new dash pad, what are you using to attach the plastic Challenger/Barracuda sticker housing to the dash?  Clear silicone, weatherstripping adhesive  :dunno:

So, who has replaced the dash emblem on their 71-74?  Did you use any extra adhesive or just stick the emblem on?
