cutting back valence

hey guys, can someone give me measurements for duel exhaust . i havent worked in a year so i can only afford 1 up grade want to put duel exhaust on the car.   my 74 has no cut outs for exhaust.  thanks for any help

You wanting the big rectangular tip opening locations?  I'll be glad to get them for you but can't see recreating those on a plain valance unless your a body work wizard.

I did the same thing when I had a 1973 Challenger, although I just went for it after looking my buddies Rallye over.  Once you have the measurements, you can greese pen it and cut it right there on the car. Not perfect, but most won't notice it on a driver.

Challenger exhaust tip valance openings 

width between cutouts 21 1/4





width of cutout 9 at top 9 3/8 near the bottom




top of cutout below bend....2 1/2 where it starts to roll 3.0 where the metal ends

Last year there was a guy on Moparts that wanted to do the same thing your talking about.  I had an old bent valance that I wasn't going to use.  I cut the exhaust tip openings out of the valance and sent them to him.  If I were you, I'd try and find a junk dual exhaust valance and do the same thing. You can see by the pictures Wade posted that it's more complicated then just cutting some notches out of the standard valance.   :2cents:
