Hello to All
« on: November 30, 2011 - 08:56:33 PM »
Hello everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself as a longtime Mopar lover, a former racer and a former 'Cuda owner (I really miss her).
I hope to connect with some knowledeable fans, and with some luck even return to the fold.

Welcome, moparman. Have any pics of the old car?

There's no doubt that you can find a car here. Do you have any ideas about what you're looking for?

The old 'Cuda was a Yellow '70 with black vinyl 340 car. I bought it in 1980 so it wasn't even that expensive. It was a second car so I just kept her garaged and drove rarely.
Then the racing bug bit me hard. I wanted to go fast, so I went all in with a '23t altered roadster. Of couse that had to be powered by a 440 with stage IV heads. (I'm probably showing my age now). Unfortunately that meant no money or garage space for the 'Cuda. So she went away. I found out later that she was hit by a garbage truck and totaled.
I miss that car, and I hope to return to the E body owners group.

I've never done this before, so I hope it works.
This was my 'Cuda.

Just in case anyone is interested. This is the car that replaced my 'Cuda.

I ran a best of 9.21 at 131 with too much compression, too much gear, and not enough radiator. I really loved going to the track with my best friend and mechanic. Unfortunately for me, he had an opportunity in Az. that he couldn't refuse. I'm not a very good mechanic myself so the racing pretty much ended then too.

 :crying:  I'm sad...  :(

Welcome to the site, moparman.

That was a really nice Cuda you had.  Hopefully you'll get another.  :grinyes:
