Hi all,
I am new to the forum and I am joining becasue I need sopme help from time to time. I have owned two 1970 Barracuda's over the years. First was an Orange 318 Grand Coupe I owned from 1982 to 1986 when it was totaled while it was parked. No one wanted to fix them then and they were only worth a $1,200 at the time. My current 1970 Barracuda I purchased while in the Navy in Seattle, Wa. in 1989. It was a 318 car at the time, but has had many upgrades over the years, including a 440.
The car has beed sitting on stands for over 5 years n by arage while my friend was helping me replace the only rusted part of the car, the trunk. I have some old shots on YouTube locared at
http://www.youtube.com/user/gsxjimg?feature=mhee I only started her a few weeks ago, and I am now movated to finishing her. Only issue is Time and the fact that I am not a body man. I am trying to fighre out how to wels the inner trunk pannels and how to cut and weld in a new outer fender.
Question: I first want to fit the tank and I have to cut a hole in the new trunk pannels to fit the fill tube. Does anyone have a templet where the hole belongs? How do we cut it, with a plasma torch or a hole saw?
