NZ, have to give ya some background on this manual thingy.

Ya know we Finnish are quite famous of our rally driving and all kinda "curve" driving skills  :grinyes:.. that thing comes right from the mother's milk ya know!!! We have these perfect dricing conditions in Finland for that... sandy roads, winter driving and everything in between.
Most of our cars here are manual.. well the new ones usually have these sequential shifters. But most of the people have used to drive with manual cars. And another reason for that is that we don't quite have "LA-style" traffic here  :grinno: :grinno:

What most youngsters are doing, what I did as well, was that during winter time it is very usual thing to go driving and racing on ice somewhere in lakes/sea (when the ice is thick enough). That'll teach you how to handle the car in icy/slip conditions even in very high speeds. And yeah, it's nothing but pedal to the metal style driving  :grinyes:
well that thing continues in snowy roads, and summer sandy roads... BUT you gonna neet to have RWD, so this new era is killing that heritage. Now in order to get that skill ya need to go track racing with somebodys race car, not ya own car  >:(

So mother's milk, mother's milk was that thing behind our stick  :grinyes:
Dementia already from the year...mmmm ???

No need to tell me about Rally driving mate New Zealand has a very long history with local events as well as a the WRC event held here in New Zealand. Japan and New Zealand have a good thing going with Subaru and Japan and us are the only places to receive there special vehicles, there sports models. Heaps of gravel down here which are good for the imports but not for my Dodge, the funny thing is, people always say, yeah, well Autos are good for straight line but on corners a manual is better, that is true but the last time I heard Muscle cars weren't built for corners (except maybe the T/A and AAR, even then there nothing to write home about), infact there usless around corners, they were made for straght line speed.  ;D  :patriot: The thing that annoys me most is people think Auto they think a honda 1.8l that takes 2 miles to change gear and when it does it is as sloppy as me on the toilet after a night at Little Indias.  These TF-727 and PowerGlides are awesome transmissions that shift hard and crisp and chirp tires between gears.  Plus theres more in them if your game.  ;)
