anyone ever seen "Gator grain" upholstery before?
« on: December 29, 2011 - 10:18:59 PM »
Just toying with the idea? Found a supplier.

I've been considering different front seats and REALLY like the "gator grain" roof tops and wondered what that idea would look like in the seats ?

Gator Grains look nice I think against a darker hue'd colors.
Not every color they had then compliments against it.

The Ivy Green was a good one for it for example.

I think that looks neat! If the roof was the same, it's be awesome. Happy New Year! Hey, I just remembered, you repair snow blowers don't you Brad? I've got a 31" Sears 12 hp machine that we just put an auger drive bearing in and the auger drive shaft has a bad wobble. Sears show the part, but have no stock. Is there any one you'd recommend that might have such a thing? Thx. Ian

I think it would look great in the 71 style split cushion.

I'd try a small engine shop? There is only a few suppliers that actually make snowblowers, eg. American yard products, MTD etc... Sears just specs out a machine from a supplier.
Does it wobble because when the bearing failed it wore down the shaft? If so just run 3-4 beads of weld then file/grind down to fit. That's an easyier/cheaper fix.

True but can't be any worse that the stock set up! I did find some suppliers of real gator leather but I imagine that would be expencive!
I noticed "crock" has a different grain to it too.

Cool idea Brad! Looks awesome. You know that Legendary has Gator Grain tops now? lol I like the idea. I would even consider the old Mustang Mach seat inserts of "mesh" vinyl. looks awesome and has to be better than just plain flat vinyl.
