AC vents
« on: January 30, 2012 - 08:26:56 AM »
I am finally fininishing up my dash and am in need of an AC vent.  Does anyone know if they are being reproduced or if anyone has a service to re-build them?  A buddy told me that he thought there were certain years of B-Body vents that would interchange. Does anyone know if this is true and if so, which ones?

thanks for the link, I didnt find that one when I searched, but then it was getting late and I could have overlooked it!  Can anyone confirm that the 68-69 B Body center vents actually interchange?  I have seen several references to the 71-74's, but unfortunately I havent seen any of them for sale right now.

71 b body is not the same. Parts will work from it but not complete. There are some on sale on ebay right now, restored and ready to go. I have a 71 roadrunner with stratovent ac and ac in my cuda and have verified.

when you say that parts will work, does that mean the blades will interchange in the housings?

No, just the pins and hardware fit across. Did you check ebay. I found the right side on available and restored.
