Trunk piece
« on: January 23, 2012 - 11:25:54 PM »
I am missing a piece from behind this bracket and between the tail pan. It is at the top above the licence plate light.

Any one have an answer?

I Have the light.

What I see is that there is a space between the tail pan and the latch bracket that should have (I think Box of some sort) something to attach the top of the bracket to. Above the light.

Just seems something is missing.

What year/model is it?

Just went to take photo's of mine for you to compare ('70 Challenger) but it's not identical. Judging by the round holes, I'm guessing it's a Barracuda and not a Challenger. What year it is?

It is a 74 cuda.

the holes in it are the drill out holes from the original spot welds.  After viewing a lot of resto pics, I find nothing is to be in the spot. The original  rear panel had  a more of a "journal" to weld to. My new panel does not have as much of a journal to weld to.
I welded it to the rear panel with what I could attach to and seems to have accepted the positioning well.

Pics to follow.
