My build sheet for my 71 340 RT Challenger shows it came with 14 inch rallye wheels and has always had them on it.
I was hoping someone would respond.  I have some original paperwork that shows the 15's only.  I don't know if it is midyear change or if it actully happened.  It may be like the 71 T/A.  Since you have a broadcast sheet it proves that it did not happen or it happened after a different time.  Thanks for the information.

I have 14's on the front, and 15's on the back. It's going to be h@ll when I have to buy new tires.    :22yikes:

I think Firestone Firehawks are the best you will find in the 14" variety. Not a horrible tire. Much better than a BF T/A, but nothing to write home about....

I ran Cooper Cobra GTS's.  They discontinued the GTS a long time ago but I think they make a G/T that's decent.  My GTS's look almost new...only about 3000 miles on them.  Probably not too safe to run them now though...they were built in the mid 90's.

Most people with disagree with me but I went with bias ply tires instead of radials.  In addition I am using 14" rims front and back.  They are 7" wide.  Front tires are F70's....... rears are L60's.

I'll be buying the reproduction Goodyear Polyglass tires for mine too.  They are expensive but just look right on these cars.
