70 Challenger Bumble Bee Stripe

We are working on a Lime green fj5 70 Challenger RT 383 4spd. The fender tag has a v9y. When I looked it up it`s for a yellow bumble bee stripe.How rare is this option?It sounds kinda ugly!  Thanks Dave

Pretty rare I would say. Someone else may be able to tell you more but I've only heard of a couple over the years. That car being a FJ5 4 speed car I would definately restore it as close as possible to original & put the stripe on. Sounds really cool to me.

I like it,different is good.My fj6 car has the white strip call out.Its a 71 convert. When it gets restored ,I might go to the yellow color,just because i,ll be cloning to a hemi.
