Are power steering and manual steering drag links the same?

can the center link be put on backwards, as in 180 degrees? When I bought my 73 with no engine the offset of the center link has the link hitting the deep sump oil pan when turning.

Yes, it's possible that it was installed backwards.  The end that has the sharper angle on it goes on the drivers side.

thanks, big help. I wish I would have asked before cutting into my oil pan but I should be able to weld the peace back in
