Truth in advertising
« on: February 08, 2012 - 09:52:55 AM »
I bought a new daily driver recently. Drove a 08 Acadia SLT2 locally last Saturday afternoon, fell in love with it within 90 seconds behind the wheel. It was everything I wanted and needed in a new ride, luxury and utility. So I'm shopping on line for something "better" and find my eventual car at 0300 Sunday morning, 2K under wholesale and buried in poor advertising. Spoke with the used manager in the morning, car was driven off a carrier in my hometown that Thursday night.

Now to sell my old ride. I put the car on Craig's List, you cannot believe the responses I've received... people can't read or they can't
comprehend the English language. Everyone thinks you can buy a Caddy (even an old, beat one) for a grand and put plates on it, jeez!

Would you take $300?                                               :stirpot:

That's how the typical CL inquiry starts in my experience.  :swear:

Actually, "would you take $400" was the lowest slap in the face....   so far

I think I'll sell it to the scrap yard. It will break my heart but it will prevent some crimalien from getting in accident
AFTER I put in writing its a PARTS car and then trying to sue me....
