OVER-STALLIN'
« on: January 28, 2005 - 10:41:57 AM »
OK, I admit that I like the show Overhaulin', and REALLY like Courtney, but seriously...with all of the great MoPars to come outta Detroit, why can't Foose actually FIX them??

I submitted my buddy's Chally for the show a few years ago, and I understand that they already did a Chally, but what about a Road Runner, or a Dart or Charger?

Is it that as a car guy, he'd hate to mod a Dodge, and prefer they be kept original?  I'd LOVE to have my Chally given the Foose makeover!

Here's a list of favoritism..I mean show cars..

GM

'52 Pick-up truck
'56 Bel Air
'62 Bel Air
'64 Corvette
'67 Skylark
'67 Nova
'68 4-4-2
'68 Camaro
'70 Camaro
'70 GTO
'70 Monte Carlo
'71 Chevelle
'77 El Camino
'88 Chev Pick-up

Ford

'50 Ford Coupe
'63 Falcon
'65 Mustang
'70 Mustang
'91 Explorer

Dodge

'71 Challenger

So basically, there have been 14 Chebs, 5 Ferds, and one Mopar!   :bs:

Not only is that rediculously favoured to Chebs, but clearly they have done 2 Bel Airs, 2 Camaros and 2 Mustangs..so 2 Chally's isn't a stretch.  they did a '71, they can do a '72-'74.  What's the deal???

On the other hand, Rides is Mopar heavy!  Xtreme Lee, Hammer, FearFish..keep'm comin!

what's the option?  Pimp My Ride?  A Chally with an orange-soda dispenser in the dash, and neon green dingle balls around the winshield riding on 24's??

ugh!

The ratio is prolly off of sales or what is out there. They have to worry about ratings and more people want to see the chebbies then fords then mopars. And the reason not as many mopars out there for people to buy and love. But we all know mopar is the best.

He ain't taken my Plymouth.  :boxer:

How good can a resto be if it's (maybe) done in 7 days. I would probably have to strip it down again, or I wouldn't want it back.

"What the Heck did you do to my Cuda FOOSE!"  :dontknow: :boxer: :boxer: :spank:  :puke:

Like the show though

I don't see anything wrong with the "count" ;D ;D ;D.  Look at it this way. They did the Chally because they wanted to do A mopar, who wouldn't after working on all those chebies. But I mean out of all the makes, I think they seem to have focused on those that need the most help to look good :dogpile:. Why work on makes that already look sweet  ;D

I bet it is more because Chevy's are cheap, Fords a little more expensive, and  mopars the most to get parts for.  Plus there are more aftermarket options for the Chevy and Ford guys.

All those cars have come out nice but some are pretty modified and the mods are not easily undone so although I would love to see more Mopars on TV I`d rather see the Chevys and Fords cut up as customs.Let`s just hope they don`t go all rice, the `91 Explorer show came on and as soon as they said they were in the APC wharehouse I changed the station!  :puke:

well, the only part of my Chally that matches the VIN is the seats, and the door skins (and they were redyed) so I wouldn't mind permenant changes to mine.  She's tubbed, caged and lego'd together, so if Foose wanted to make it a HIP colour, add a few stripes, custom interior with a decent stereo, matching rims  (  ::) ) and drop in a Crate Hemi, I wouldn't say no.
