Ragtop...I've never seen that before either....someone bondo'd their plug in place.

Oh, I see what you mean now.  I guess it didn't occur to me.  I've seen this before on another car that was for sale on ebay.  I remember because I happened to notice the filler was cracked/popping out.  So I guess what you are saying is all SE's had vinyl tops originally?

Yep!  All SE's had vinyl tops because of the rear window plug.

I would have said something to the owner if I had realized it.  This car had a lot of modifications but it was still nice looking.
