Challenger 1970 front grille
« on: February 13, 2012 - 06:36:44 PM »
Hi everyone, i have a question regarding the front grille of the 1970 Challenger. Is it possible that the center is black or on all cars it was anodized aluminium color? Is it possible to have a black grille or maybe it  was only for R/t's. (when i say center of the grille it's only the center)??? Thanks

the center is just natural , the main part of the grille was painted black on R/T models

No, the center egg crate section was never black from the factory.

Perhaps someone didn't like the weathered look of bare aluminum and painted it black? That's what I did. I also prefer the ribs to the grill not be painted. It just looks neat to me.   :2cents:
