HI all just a few questions about my brakes. My project is a 1973 RR with manual disc brakes. I have a rebuilt m/c which I bench bleed. Rebuilt calipers,new front brake hoses, new rear wheel cylinders. I have been bleeding for 2 days now and need to drive this car to work. I can pump up a good pedal and bleed any bleeder and get solid fluid then try the pedal and it goes to the floor. I have tried loosening the fittings on the P valve to bleed it. still the same story. IT will pump up in 6-10 strokes but will go to floor on next try. Help me please. Steve

I was having similar problems & found that the rear drums needed to be adjusted tighter. There are access holes in the backing plates for a brake spoon, a flat blade screwdriver can work, to rotate the adjuster.

Your M/C is leaking internally. Did you push the piston all the way in when you bled the m/c?
If so, you damaged the seal inside. The normal travel in the bore stays clean, but when
the piston goes in farther it meets up with a damaged bore that the rebuilders either can't fix
or don't bother. Only push the piston in as far as necessary to get air to come out into the fluid reservoir.
If I cant fix it, it's broke
