1970 Challenger AC Car Map Light Assembly
« on: February 16, 2012 - 08:28:07 AM »
Does anyone have a good photo showing the exact location of the Map Light Assembly on a 70 AC Car? I'm ready to install this part and will be using the plastic lower bezel piece but tell for sure how this assembly installs. There is that piece of metal/ bracket that I can't figure out as well.

Thanks!

Will this work?

Yes, I can clearly see where it goes, thanks! Do you have a photo of where the metal bracket goes? It's the piece that attaches to the black lamp assembly.
Thanks!

Don't have a pic, but keep in mind the metal bracket's sole purpose is to ground the map light, as AC cars have a plastic bezel (ie no ground) where non-AC cars do not.

I would just look in the near area for the hole on the metal dash frame...

err... it's the switch we're talking about here by the way, not the light piece. That's where the ground comes from in a stock install.
