Posting concern regarding loosing written text.
« on: March 02, 2012 - 11:02:01 AM »
I have had trouble twice where I wrote up a large post and added a wrong photo by mistake, either too large or wrong file type.
When I hit post, it comes to a page telling me what I did wrong.
When I hit back on that page, I go back and all of my text that i spent time writing is gone.
Can this be fixed so if we do make a mistake, we don't loose all the hard work we have just done.

Thanks so much
Trev

I would bet that has happened to just about everyone and I know it has happened to me. Wrong file type and then get a message that "You have already submitted this post"   I started making a point of posting the text and then go back and edit or insert a picture after the fact and that seems to work.   Not sure if there is a better solution . . . .  :dunno:

I always copy and paste the text to a word document before I post it, if it is a long post. That way, if it gets lost, I can go to the word document and copy and paste it back into the text box, and then I post it. I lost more than one long post until I started doing that.     :2thumbs:

I have also used microsoft word for long posts as it has an easy spell check as well.
