    Gas pedal bushings

    In the accelerator pedal assembly there are plastic bushings - bearings - pressed into the bracket that is attached to the firewall.
    I disassembled the pedal and sent the parts for replating. The bushings were destroyed in the process. Can always buy new ones I thought.
    Still haven't found anyone that sells these.
    Anybody out there who knows?

    "usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

    I've never heard of anyone taking those assemblies apart.  They were just phosphated originally and should clean up nicely in EvapoRust.  If they do have to be rephosphated, I don't think the tempurature is high enough to destroy plastic is it?

    I doubt any replacements are available.  You may have to find some generic metal bushings and drill out the bracket to the correct size to install them.(kind of like the door hinge pin kits in the HELP section at a parts store)
