ta hood on 71 challenger
« on: March 07, 2012 - 09:15:14 PM »
Did the original TA hood on the TA challenger use any of the fender bumbers other than the circular adjustable front rubber bumper stops? I'm talking about the side wedging bumbers as used on the steel hoods. I'm putting an aftermarket TA fiberglass hood on a 1971 Challenger that will be hood hinged at the rear and hood pins for the front.

I don't know if it's original /correct or not but I'm still using them ( wedge bumpers)
Actually I bought new ones when I got my hood as the old ones were hard as a rock.

the hinges are strong front to back but weak side to side so it make sense to me to have the wedges in place near the rear of the hood
