Challenger Door Sill Guards Question
« on: March 19, 2012 - 02:46:22 PM »
Hello,

I'm thinking about adding the Challenger logo door sill guards to my new 2012 Challenger and I'm wondering what is involved with this.  Do they screw in like the old style plates or are these newer ones stick on with some sort of self-adhesive?

These new door sill guards would look great and I'd appreciate any insights into what is involved in installing them.

Thanks!

I did that and I LOVE them!

They are put on by 3-M tape. So make sure your aim is good because once it's on there...that is some sticky stuff.

Thank you for confirming!

Do the door sill plates come with the adhesive already on the back or would I need to get that elsewhere?

Hey you had to get a "40th anniversary" Challenger too?  Nice!  Mine came with the sill guards so I don't know how they install but I love how they look.  What kind/color 12 did you get?
Yes I own a 1972 Dodge Challenger Convertible T/A S/E with a 440 Six Pak. Can it get any more wrong?

Yes, 'had' to get one!  I bought a 2012 SXT Plus, which looks awesome in the metallic Red.  I am used to my '72, so I was very impressed with how quiet, comfortable, and powerful the SXT 6 cylinder is.

This is a serious upgrade from my Honda Civic commuter car  :hyper:
