"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

I just looked at my pictures but don't have a good one that shows it.  There is a slot in the top of the ash tray insert...the black piece that the lighter mounts to.  There are tabs on the ashtray light that need to be squeazed together and pushed through the slot.  There will be a larger hole next to one side of the slot.  That is where the light passes through to illuminate the tray.

In the 11+ years I've owned my car, I still don't know if the ashtray light or cigarette lighter work.

I'll get to that eventually.   :grinno:

:iagree: It just squeezes a bit and pops right in. Make sure that you point it the right way, so that the light flows down? Or maybe it doesn't matter. Some things Mopar did have a simalar mounting, and the light has to face a hole in order to shed the light downward. It's incredibly simple.

Cigar lighter just has a plug in on the back that pushes on. I understand, MEK. But some of us are really anal on stuff like this! lol! I even wallered out the hole in the lighter area a bit and installed one of those lighters that have a light up ring around it. NAPA sells them. They are in every vehicle I have ever owned. I just like the look.
