Were the RED caps stock on a 1970 340?  I thought they were suppose to be YELLOW!

I'm looking to get a new Mopar battery within the next 45 days and just wanted to run the research by you guys to be sure I am correct. 

Battery Dimensions:  Appears to be 12" x 6.75" x 9" (Length, Width & Height)

Caps:  Yellow

FWIW,

Interstate sells an un-marked, no logo black batteries. Any group size for cars. They use them primarily for re labelling. I think they look better in a restored engine compartment.

Interstate doesn't sell the OEM early look batteries though. I wish they did. Hopefully someday they will. I have customers ask me this all the time do we offer them.

There's a guy on Moparts that sells the repro battery's.  Everyone says to buy from him...great service and great pricing.  I'll try and find his contact info for you.
